Who We Are
JATAN Public Charitable Trust is located in Pipariya, a city and municipality in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. Located in the Satpuras, the semi arid hills of the Indian heartland, the region is rich in biodiversity. The region is also known as the Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve, one of the 14 Biosphere Reserves in the country. As is to be expected, this has nurtured strong bonds between nature and those communities who share its bounty. And forms a backdrop to an ongoing tussle between man, state and the environment.
